Picture for BeBop

We did another photo shoot for my mom's birthday and
we also finally decided on her name for Madeline to use.
First it was Betsky, but we decided that was too hard to say,
and who knows what Madeline would come out with for that one.
Then Chelsey came up with a cute idea of Pop Pop and Be Bop,
but my Dad was really set on Granddad.
My mom suggested Beep -her own version of Betty Boop.
All of us decided BeBop is the cutest, so that's what we're stickin with.

Pics for Granddad's Birthday

We made a picture frame for my Dad for his birthday this month that said "Granddaddy's little cowgirl" and did a little photo shoot with Madeline dressed in western-wear. I love it!!! :) Anyone know how to enter your baby in casting calls and model stuff?? I totally want to do that now.

First Time to Burger's Lake

We went to Burger's Lake with my family and she took a couple good naps while we were out there. We were a little nervous about putting her in the water because of the "crypto" virus that broke out there last summer. But she still had fun despite her paranoid parents. :)

Bathtime

Bathtime is Madeline's favorite time of day. We give her a bath every day to establish a bedtime routine. As soon as she hears the water running and Daddy gets her undressed, she gets really quiet and her eyes get big. Once she's in the tub, she just looks up at us with huge blue eyes and kicks her feet in the water. Sometimes she coos, if she's in a vocal mood. She acts like she'd stay in there forever, if we'd let her. It's our favorite thing to do with her, too!

Madeline and the Crazy Aunts

Here we were at TCU for my sister Shannon's art camp open house thing. Chelsey and Shannon LOVE their little niece more than I ever imagined. They are so sweet with her. The funniest memory from this day was after we fed her with a bottle, Ken was holding her up above his face and brought her face to his to give her a kiss. Then she spit up right it his mouth!! Ugh!!! It was hilarious though. :)

The Sweetest Smile

She's been smiling since week 3!!! I know, you probably think I'm just a wishfully thinking mother, but really. She started social smiling at 3 weeks old, every time Kenneth would come home from work. I guess she was tired of looking at me all day and happy to see a fresh face. :) And now she's just smiling ALL the time. She's 6 weeks old in these pics and 7 weeks old now. Right now I'll catch her giggling in her sleep every once in a while. It's so cute!! I can't wait for her to come right out and laugh for us.
