In the toddler room

Being able to walk up to a tree full of suckers
and pick whichever one she wanted was a
very exciting concept to her! :)

We could've stayed in the petting zoo all night
and she'd have been so happy.

She loved playing games for candy!

She got to ride on the pink sparkly pony!
Last year she was so scared that she cried
and wouldn't even let us put her on the saddle.
This year she was smiling from ear to ear!

It was hard finding candy without soy in it!
Who knew!?!?
I really hope she grows out of this allergy!

Mother's Day 2011

Trip to the Dog Park with Hunter

Madeline loved going to the dog park!

She would walk around holding her arms out to the dogs, laughing at them.

Then she got really sleepy and we were able to catch a few good tree poses. :)

Our Spaghetti-Lovin Girl

She loooooves noodles! She likes to suck them up like Lady and the Tramp.

Swimmin at Aunt Vicki's House

Madeline has loved getting in the water this summer. At first we got her a little floating boat to sit in (the ones where their legs go through the holes into the water) and she was too afraid to sit in it by herself. But by the end of the summer, she would point to her little boat, wanting to float around or have Daddy push her around the pool making motor sounds. :)

She got some new toys and books from her friends and family

She was too sleepy to even care about eating the cake.

But she sure had fun playing in it!

9-10 Months Old

Sorry I've been a slacker!

So Madeline's just been keeping me SO busy that I haven't had much time to blog about her. Plus, we had a Facebook acct there for a while, so I didn't really see the need to.

Anyways....to get everyone up to date, she is getting so ready to walk, but she hasn't gotten brave enough to take steps on her own yet. My Filipino relatives say I need to massage her legs, but I keep forgetting. :o( Oops.

She can understand so many words!! About 25! Things like ball, doggie, kitty, night-night, names of her loved ones, "I'm gonna get you!" (in a playful, not creepy way...), clap your hands, and oh so many more. I'm amazed every day how fast she picks things up. Children's brains really are like sponges!

She is trying to say "uh-oh" but it comes out more like "uh-hmm". So cute! She jabbers all the time about something, but I have no idea what she's trying to say. She'll sometimes try to sing along or talk along with someone and instead of making noise, she'll just open her mouth and pretend to say something.

Madeline the little Model-Wannabe

Well, we did it. We took Madeline to a modeling interview with a local modeling agency. It was a complex introduction to a world we previously knew nothing about. We both left feeling like we crashed into a wall of new information. We have a lot to discuss and think about before jumping into this. But the owner did say she has pinchable cheeks and beautiful big blue eyes. So here are some of her pics that we took to show the agency (none of which got even a glance from the agent).
